Qualifications

• A valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (Maintenance “M1”/“M2” or Structures “S” rating).
• An undergraduate degree and post-secondary teaching experience are preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience may be considered. Aviation teaching experience would be an asset.
• An Instructor’s Diploma or valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
• Six to ten years recent relevant experience in some or all of the following:
  • Fixed wing background or experience on general aviation and/or large transport category aircraft
  • Rotary experience in Bell 204/205/206/ or Airbus AS350 aircraft
  • Aircraft structural repair experience related to sheet metal, composite, wood/fabric and Boeing aircraft structural designs.
