Education and Experience
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Heavy Mechanical Technician’s Certificate of Qualification and Interprovincial (IP) Red Seal Certification
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the industry as a Journeyperson Heavy Mechanical Technician
- Computer literacy in word processing, electronic mail and appropriate software applications
- Post-secondary teaching experience is an asset
- Demonstrated curriculum development skills is an asset
- Provincial Instructor Diploma (PID) program or BC Teaching Certification is an asset
Description/Duties
Selkirk College's School of Industry and Trades Training requires Relief Instructors to teach within the Heavy Mechanical program at the Silver King Campus. The successful applicants will be required, as assigned, to provide instruction in all levels of the program delivered by the College. The successful applicants will demonstrate the desire to become a member of a highly motivated Selkirk College team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct within the Heavy Mechanical program
This is a non-regular, on-call position commencing as soon as possible, and ending August 31, 2025. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement. The salary range is $46.05 - $73.80 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
