Tire Worker I
Job Summary
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Completion of grade 10 supplemented by several years of experience and courses related to the equipment tire industry, tire inventory management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Forklift Operator certificate or the ability to obtain one.
Description/Duties
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stripping, repairing, assembling, and replacing a variety of tires, wheels, and rims from light duty vehicles, medium/heavy duty trucks and OTR (Off The Road) equipment.
- Responsible for following safety procedures and identifying and correcting safety hazards as necessary.
- Deal with customer service requests and complaints on a timely basis.
- Communicating with Garage Control Centre to create and maintain Work Order records.
- Aid in the control of Tire Shop mounted and repaired stock inventories, servicing tires with calcium chloridesolution and related work as required.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
