Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years related experience required
- Completion of Journeyperson certificate in electrical
- Experience with high voltage an asset
- Experience with PLC and electronics an asset
- Knowledge of current Canadian Electrical Code
- Available to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions, including weekend and PM shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. safely, including tower climbing (training provided)
Description/Duties
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrades and new installations of all electrical and control systems on mountain (lifts, infrastructure, buildings and facilities)
- Remain in compliance with current Canadian Electrical Code
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Prevent breakdown of systems by adhering to a comprehensive maintenance schedule
- Training for and responding to emergency situations
- Communicating and logging tasks performed to keep organized records of jobs completed, including the use of CMMS software
- Working with the electrical team to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime of the overall function of the resort
- Working with a large variety of equipment and voltages, ranging from 12V to 12.5kV
- Working closely with all other departments including contractors
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Compensation
- $39.20 - $44.53 per hour plus shift premium of additional $4/hr for qualifying shifts
