Qualifications
- Proficiency in the following trades is desired: painting, door/lock repairs, drywall, minor plumbing, basic electrical work, and lamp changes
- A minimum of 3 years of experience preferably related to a commercial building environment
- Other requirements such as interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to resolve problems independently and carry out duties under minimal supervision is essential
- Must have a valid B.C. driver's licence.
- The rotating schedule, mornings and afternoons, will include expected start times between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm, with the successful candidate working a few weekends per month
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with MS Office (Excel and Word) are assets
Description/Duties
- General maintenance tasks, such as drywalling, tiling, painting and repairing doors, as required
- Complete preventative maintenance work tasks, regular building systems checks
- Being responsible for preventive/corrective maintenance on building equipment and related systems
- Working with external contractors and building management, such as assisting Marketing and Specialty Leasing departments with their promotions, carts and kiosks
- Responding to tenant requests
