Surrey School District #36 is seeking applicants for the position of Tradesperson - Painter, for a full time (temporary) position. Reporting to the Manager of Security and Infrastructure at the District Facilities Centre.
The Tradesperson-Painter is responsible for a variety of projects including renovations, repairs, and new installations in over 140 school district sites and offices. The successful applicant must be a team-player ready to be part of a cohesive, effective team of professionals in the Maintenance Infrastructure Department who hold great pride in their work. The department requires applicants to be prepared to work effectively in a small team as well as independently to complete top quality work in a timely fashion. This is a temporary assignment that will work 37.5 hours/week with and end date of September 19th, 2025 (with possibility of extension) or until incumbent returns from leave.

This is a unionized position that offers an hourly wage rate of $40.65 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package: municipal pension, health, vacation & sick benefits as well as on-site gym facility. Effective date per collective agreement.
