Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Wage: $34.00/hour

Skills and Experience:

• Experience: 2-3 years in sheet metal fabrication
• Language: Good command of English
• Education: Secondary school diploma

Description/Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications to lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal accurately.
• Create patterns for sheet metal components using CADD software.
• Utilize laser or plasma cutting machines to shape sheet metal according to design specifications.
• Operate metal fabrication machines and CNC equipment to cut, engrave, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
• Assemble sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering, and similar techniques according to design specifications and architectural drawings.
• Install metal products following precise specifications and building codes.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Utilize hoisting and other support equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety and health protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
