Education, Training and Experience:
- BC Ticket as a Tool and Die Maker or interprovincial Red Seal certification
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and CAD/CAM software experience.
- Good interpersonal and organization and teamwork skills.
- Able to work well within a team environment.
Description/Duties
Day Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay: $44.99/hour

Primary Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, maintain and repair press tooling for tungsten carbide production
- Fabricate, maintain and repair press robot arms/end effectors
- Fabricate, maintain and repair process fixturing for all/any departments
- Support plant equipment and maintenance department with machining services and technical support
- Press die set maintenance support
- Continuous improvement of the process
- Technical support to production employees
Tool Maker Duties:
- Fabricate and maintain press tooling, fixtures, robot end effectors and equipment
- Machining – milling, turning etc.
- Wire and sinker EDM
- EDM drill
- Use CAD/CAM software (primarily Autodesk Inventor & MasterCAM)
- Grinding
- Steel hardening
- Brazing
- Hand work, fitting and polishing
- 3D printing
- Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and CAD drawings
- Able to understand written and verbal communication that ensures safety and accuracy in all aspects of the job
- Troubleshooting – teamwork with others to resolve issues to ensure continuity of production.
