Description/Duties
Summary:
The certified millwright repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical plant equipment such as pumps, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools. Precision measuring and testing instruments and adjustment of equipment as required as well as maintenance rounds and inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Repair of process equipment (pumps, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems).
- Required maintenance of mobile equipment (loaders, forklifts).
- Troubleshoot and monitors process equipment.
- Interacts with equipment operators to determine needs.
- Utilizes welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair, and fabricate processing equipment.
- Performs the preventative maintenance program established by the company.
- Documents and reports all maintenance work performed and advises of future requirements in a timely manner.
- Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- Safe and responsible operation of company equipment at all times.
- Abides to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards.
- Willingness and availability to participate in on-call rotation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
