Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the trade/repair industry, and appropriate trades qualification certificates
• Computer skills in MS Office/Maintenance Connection/ PLC controllers

Description/Duties

The role:

The Junior Vineyard Mechanic is responsible for care and maintenance of all machinery based out of our Southern asset care department in the Oliver area.  

What you’ll do:

• Complete work requests for maintenance in an efficient and organized manner.
• Perform maintenance duties; repair, troubleshoot and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, spray equipment, mowers, leafing machines and wind machines including but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting to detect faulty operations.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service on equipment to ensure the expected life of the equipment. Includes all active and reactive work requests throughout the day, replacing or repairing parts, testing, making adjustments, and verifying results.
• Champion a safe and healthy work environment, through eliminating hazards and ensuring a culture of safety & safety awareness.
• Recommend technical solutions & make recommendations for equipment and process improvements that will support a process of continuous improvement.
• Transport machinery and equipment between Vineyard Locations as required.
