Education: No formal education is required

Experience: A minimum of 7 months of experience in a related trade is required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Description/Duties

Work Location: Different locations within greater Vancouver area, depending on client’s sites

Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent

Job Description:

• Assist the lead carpenters with any tasks required
• Assist with loading and unloading of tools to site
• Assist with unloading materials to site e.g. plywood, dimensional lumber
• Use both hand tools and power tools to assist carpenters with demolition and building new structures.
• Maintain a clean work environment by clearing waste material and sweeping site on a daily basis.
• Measure and cut lumber according to carpenters specifications
• Nail off brackets, clips and hangers for carpenters
• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites

Salary: $25.00 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: The employee will work 8 hours per day, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday, depending on site. Overtime may be required depending on the business needs.
