Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

• 2-3 years of experience in the trade
• Good English
• Completion of secondary school

Big Guns Roofing Ltd. is looking for experienced Roofers.

Greater Vancouver area, BC.

Permanent, Full time job

Wage: $27.00 CAD per hour

Main duties:

• Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed;
• Build and repair roofs using various materials and tool, replace damaged or rotting joists or plywood;
• Lay new roofing materials such as hot asphalt and gravel to make the roof weatherproof;
• Build, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials;
• Install asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings;
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete surfaces;
• Install sheet metal flashings, insulation, vapor barriers and vents;
• Install and repair metal roofing systems;
• Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g. scaffold, ladder).
