Description/Duties

Nykl Contracting Ltd., a full-service general contracting company, looking for a Carpenter to join our team.

Permanent, full-time (40 hrs) position 

Greater Victoria area, BC

Wage: $30.00/hr

Main Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints and other construction drawings to determine specifications;
• Build foundations, erect walls and roof systems;
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble components made of wood, lightweight steel and other materials;
• Prepare layouts; construct and repair structural woodwork, ceilings, walls, subfloors etc.;
• Install trim items, such as doors, stairs and moulding;
• Operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner;
• Comply with safety rules and regulations;
• Supervise helpers and apprentices.
