Journeyman Welder
Job Summary
Qualifications
- A ticket
- Experience with TIG welding for stainless steel pipe
- 2 or more years of welding experience at a Journeyman level
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, including WCB, OH&S, including working alone legislation
- Ability to weld stainless steel & steel pipe spools, structural steel, and aluminum
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to accommodate shifting priorities
- Aptitude to problem solve and think “outside the box”
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills
- Highly organized and motivated to carry out a variety of duties
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to perform physical duties (such as lifting)
Description/Duties
- Weld, primarily, but not limited to, stainless steel and steel process pipe
- Complete structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication work
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Ensure all welding processes are completed to specifications and quality expectations
- Other welding and shop activities as directed
