Description/Duties
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking Journeymen Millwrights with industrial experience to join our sawmill operations located on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.
We currently have vacancies at the following sawmills:
Port Alberni, BC
Ladysmith, BC
Cowichan Bay, BC
Nanaimo, BC
Chemainus, BC
*$3000 Signing Bonus & Relocation Assistance Available*
These are hourly unionized positions with competitive wage rates from $42.57- $45.32/hour, benefits and pension. Shifts vary depending on site. Please inquire within to learn more.
These positions are considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, Millwrights are required to safely perform quality work, provide support services, and perform preventative maintenance processes that pertain to optimum mechanical performance of our facility including, but not limited to:
- Repairs or replacements of mechanical components & machinery
- Rigging and slinging
- Troubleshooting mechanical machinery
- Welding repairs
- Hot work and lock out protocols
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
